A Heartfelt Thank You and a New Chapter for Hollychocs
A Heartfelt Thank You and a New Chapter for Hollychocs
On Saturday 23rd August, our Beanery Café will open its doors for the very last time—exactly two years since we first opened them.
This decision hasn’t come lightly.
Over the past two years, Sam and I have poured everything into the café—sharing our passion for chocolate, championing independent makers, and crafting a space where people could relax, indulge, and connect. We’ve absolutely loved being part of your birthdays, celebrations, rainy-day pick-me-ups and sweet-tooth strolls. Thank you, truly, for making us part of your lives.
We’ve tried everything to keep the café going—from new menus and events to community collaborations and more. But like so many other small businesses right now, we’ve been hit hard by rising costs. We’ve made this difficult decision now to give Hollychocs the strongest future possible. It’s about sustainability, not just for us—but for our chocolate and the people behind it.
But this is not goodbye.
You can still visit our space through one of our many experiences—guided tastings, hands-on chocolate making, or a sit-down afternoon tea. These sessions are at the heart of what we love to do and can be booked via our website or over the phone.
We’ll continue to handcraft our award-winning chocolates, and our full range is available for UK-wide delivery or click & collect. You just won’t be able to drop in and browse like before.
There are exciting new developments too—including a new range of postbox-friendly gift options, perfect for sending chocolatey joy through the letterbox.
Thank you again for all your love and support. We can’t wait to welcome you to a chocolate experience soon, and we hope you’ll continue to support our small business as we move toward a more online-focused future.
With gratitude,
Holly
