Dubai or Not Dubai? The Chocolate Bar That’s Causing a (Palm Oil-Free) Stir
Luxury just got an upgrade.
You’ve probably seen those viral Dubai Bars doing the rounds online—chunky layers of pistachio, chocolate, and crunch. But if you’ve ever looked closely at the ingredients list, you might’ve noticed something disappointing: lots of palm oil, artificial flavourings, and not nearly as much pistachio as you’d expect.
So I decided to do things differently.
A Proper Pistachio Hit
My take on the Dubai Bar is simple: go all in on flavour, not filler.
It’s made with 50% pure Iranian pistachios—yes, half the bar is just pistachios. I blend them into a smooth, creamy layer that delivers real pistachio flavour, not some sweetened green paste pretending to be the real thing.
Then comes a layer of silky milk chocolate made from ethically sourced cocoa, followed by crispy pailleté feuilletine for that all-important crunch. Finally, a sprinkle of sea salt brings everything together in one satisfying, perfectly balanced bite.
No Palm Oil. No Gimmicks. Just Chocolate Done Right.
This bar is completely palm oil free. It doesn’t need it. The richness comes from the cocoa, the nuts, and the crunch—not stabilisers or cheap substitutes.
I make each one by hand in our Wiltshire chocolate studio, and I’ve obsessed over every detail to make sure it lives up to the hype—but in a way that feels honest, ethical, and absolutely delicious.
Why I Made It
I’ve been wanting to create a bar that truly delivers on what the viral trend promises—but without the compromises. This is chocolate engineered to impress, not mass-produced to go viral.
It’s indulgent, it’s rich, and it’s proudly rooted in what Hollychocs stands for: craftsmanship, ethics, and flavour that doesn’t need to shout.
So now, I’ll leave you with just one question:
